What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a fitness program that produces measurable outcomes through lifestyle changes, centered on training and nutrition. Workouts consist of constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements, and are most fun and effective among friends at a local CrossFit gym.

“Not only does CrossFit make people fit, but arguably we make them fitter faster and more safely than any other program out there. Our results are universal, predictable, and repeatable. Our methodology works for everyone, can be scaled for anyone, and the results accrue over the long term.

The results our methodology drives are what pulls people into CrossFit and gets them hooked. It’s not magic; it’s just what happens when you put in the work — results follow. And once you experience it, you want more of it. This is how we revolutionized an industry and changed millions of lives — and will change millions more.”

CrossFit is about improving quality of life, not just getting through a tough workout.

CrossFit is inclusive; anyone can do it, and everyone can benefit from it.

CrossFit founder Greg Glassman believes the needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not by kind.

If you fall down, you need to be able to get up. If you drop something, you need to be able to pick it up. These are foundational movements. You need to be able to squat, deadlift, push and pull.

The magic is in the movements.

During a CrossFit class, you can expect to see constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. This can include strength, gymnastics, and metabolic conditioning. All are important and programmed to promote GPP (General Physical Preparedness).

At One Valley, we want our members to have the ability to do anything thrown at them. We want them to be prepared for the unknown. CrossFit does this by using safe, effective, and efficient movements similar to those we use every day in life.

COME FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF.
